Delete Your Rate Cricket Account

Delete your account from the app or the website

This is the fastest route and it works the same in the Rate Cricket Android app and on the website.

1. Sign in to your Rate Cricket account. 2. Open your Profile. 3. Scroll to the Danger Zone section at the bottom. 4. Choose what should happen to the reviews you have posted. 5. Choose how long you want to be able to change your mind — 7, 14 or 30 days. 6. Confirm. You are signed out immediately.

Request deletion by email instead

If you can no longer sign in — for example you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your email — write to support@ratecricket.com from the email address on the account, or use our contact form.

Tell us the email address the account uses and whether you want your reviews anonymised or deleted outright. We verify that the request came from the account holder before acting on it, and we complete verified requests within 30 days.

Choose what happens to what you posted

Rate Cricket is built on community ratings, so you decide which of these matters more to you.

Anonymise my reviews — your account, login, name, avatar, favourite nation and social links are deleted. The ratings, reviews and replies you wrote stay on the site with no name attached, so match and tournament averages still reflect every vote that was cast.

Delete everything I posted — your ratings, reviews, replies, blog posts, blog comments and any images you uploaded are deleted along with the account, and every match and tournament average is recalculated without them.

The grace period

Nothing is deleted straight away. When you make the request your account is deactivated at once: you are signed out everywhere and the account can no longer be used.

Until the date you chose, you can sign back in and restore the account from your Profile — nothing will have been lost. Your existing reviews stay visible during this period. Once that date passes, the option you picked is applied and the account cannot be recovered.

What is deleted

In both cases we delete your sign-in credential, your email address, your display name, your avatar, your favourite nation, any social profile links you added, your email preferences, your saved drafts, and all of your active sessions.

If you chose to delete everything, we also delete your ratings, written reviews, replies, blog posts, blog comments, and the images you uploaded with them.

What is kept, and for how long

Security and abuse logs — a record of requests made to our API — are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. Before that, anything identifying you is removed from them at the moment your account is deleted, and the network address in them is shortened when the log is first written so that it never identifies a person.

If you chose to anonymise rather than delete, the ratings and text you wrote remain published without your name, and cannot be traced back to you.

We may keep records for longer where the law requires it, for example to resolve a dispute or meet a tax or accounting obligation. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
